Regular Season Round 23: Gries/Oberhoffen - Evreux 70-71

A very interesting game took place in Bischwiller. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 14th ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (8-11) to eighth ranked ALM Evreux (12-9) 71-70 on Thursday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Spanish-Venezuelan swingman Jhornan Zamora (196-89) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American guard Austin Tilghman (185, college: Monmouth) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Brandon Edwards (198-91, college: UT Arlington) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian-Bosnian point guard Filip Adamovic (181-88, agency: BIG) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for lost side. Four Gries/Oberhoffen players scored in double figures. ALM Evreux maintains eighth place with 12-9 record. Gries/Oberhoffen at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. ALM Evreux's next round opponent will be league's leader Saint-Quentin at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gries/Oberhoffen will play against Paris (#6) and hope to win that game.
