Regular Season Round 26: La Fecha - Cantbasket 67-65

A very interesting game took place in Arroyo Encomienda. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Cantbasket (10-8) to eighth ranked La Fecha (8-10) 67-65 on Saturday evening. Center Hector Parras (198-89) notched 10 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Eduardo Castano (186-0) supported him with 11 points. Even 11 points and 7 rebounds by point guard Jon Pena (185-97) did not help to save the game for Cantbasket. Swingman Jaime Garcia (194-87) added 16 points for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. La Fecha moved-up to seventh place in Group A-B. Cantbasket at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. La Fecha's next round opponent will be Valladolid (#11) on the road. Cantbasket will play against Filipenses (#9) and hope to win that game.
