Not a big story in a game in San Sebastian where 19th ranked Gipuzkoa (7-24) was defeated by twelfth ranked UCAM Murcia (13-17) 88-78 on Saturday. American point guard Isaiah Taylor (189-94, college: Texas) stepped up and scored 25 points and 4 assists for the winners and Brazilian center Augusto Lima (206-91) chipped in 9 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was DR Congolese center Viny Okouo (215-97) with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Montenegrin Dino Radoncic (202-99) scored 6 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for UCAM Murcia. They moved-up to eleventh place. Newly promoted Gipuzkoa stay dead last with 24 lost games. UCAM Murcia will face higher ranked Valencia Basket (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gipuzkoa will play against CB Canarias (#3) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
