Kauhajoki cruised past Vilpas at home court and stayed alive in the Korisliiga Finals. The game without a history. Kauhajoki led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Kauhajoki outrebounded Vilpas 33-21 including 22 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Vilpas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Collin Malcolm (200-97, college: WPU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Bosnian point guard Bojan Sarcevic (190-88) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Malcolm is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American power forward Jeremiah Wood (200-85, agency: Inception Sports) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Teemu Rannikko (189-80) added 10 points and 8 assists in the effort for Vilpas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
