The game between Top Four teams took place in Rostock. 3rd ranked host Rostock (1-3) lost to top-ranked Bayer Giants (4-0) 96-83. It was a great shooting night for Bayer Giants especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Haris Hujic (193-97) fired 20 points and 8 assists for the winners. Center Eddy Edigin (201-95) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Bayer Giants players scored in double figures. Iranian Behnam Yakhchali (194-95, agency: BIG) produced 29 points and American Trevor Lacey (188-91, college: NC State) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bayer Giants have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group 1 with 4-0 record. Loser Rostock keeps the third place with three games lost. Bayer Giants will meet league's second-placed Science City Jena on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rostock will play against Artland Dragons in Quakenbrueck and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
