Regular Season Round 34: Dax-Gamarde - Tours 88-91

Eleventh-ranked Dax-Gamarde (7-15) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Tours (17-4) in Gamarde les Bains on Friday. The visitors from Tours managed to secure only three-point victory 91-88. However their fans expected much easier game. Tours looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Guinean point guard Ahmed Doumbia (195-89) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Icelandic forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Kenyan-American forward Joel Awich (201-93, college: Cal Poly) replied with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Guinean forward Cedric Mansare (198-85) added 21 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Dax-Gamarde. Four Dax-Gamarde players scored in double figures. Tours maintains first position with 17-4 record. Dax-Gamarde at the other side keeps the eleventh place with 15 games lost. Tours are looking forward to face Vendee Challans (#5) on the road in the next round. Dax-Gamarde will play against Rueil (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
