Quarter-Finals Round 3: Tskhum-Abkhazeti - Olimpi 79-58

Tskhum-Abkkazeti rallied past Olimpi to ensure the semifinal appearance. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-58. Tskhum-Abkhazeti dominated on the defensive end, holding Olimpi to just 7 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Olimpi 50-25 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for international forward Aleksandre Phevadze (206-98) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. American guard Josh McFolley (185-97, college: Detroit) helped adding 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Tskhum-Abkhazeti players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-93) with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Sierra Leonean forward Abdulai Bundu (201-96, college: Quinnipiac) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
