Quarter-Finals Round 2: PAOK - AEK 81-73

PAOK held off AEK to even the series at 1-1. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But AEK won third quarter 21-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. PAOK players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American guard Jermaine Love (188-89, college: UIS) notched 16 points to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Malcolm Griffin (193-91, college: FPU, agency: Higher Vision Sports) supported him with 13 points and 7 assists. Four PAOK players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 8 rebounds by Angolan center Yanick Moreira (211-91, college: SMU, agency: BeoBasket) did not help to save the game for AEK. Belgian-American Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii, agency: Pensack Sports) added 9 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
