Regular Season Round 35: Challans - Tours 92-109

NM1 top team - Tours (20-6) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Vendee Challans (14-12) 109-92. They outrebounded Vendee Challans 38-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. Tours shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 56.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Vendee Challans' players. The best player for the winners was American-Icelandic forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) who scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Guard Fabien Ateba (192-91) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists. American point guard Devon Thomas (183-94, college: Texas Tech) produced 29 points and swingman Kevin Bichard (196-86) added 17 points and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Five Tours and four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Tours. They maintain first place with 20-6 record. Vendee Challans at the other side keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost.
