KR survived overtime thriller to tame Valur in Game 1. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime then Valur managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was KR who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 12-11. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ty Sabin (190-94, college: Ripon, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 6 assists. His fellow American import Brandon Nazione (202-94, college: EMU) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international forward Kristofer Acox (200-93, college: Furman) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and international guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Valur. Five KR and four Valur players scored in double figures.
