Regular Season Round 30: Nantes - Paris 76-78

A very interesting game took place in Nantes. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 12th ranked Nantes (12-14) to sixth ranked Paris (16-10) 78-76 on Tuesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Paris made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Nantes turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for Armenian-American point guard Ryan Boatright (183-92, college: UConn) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 assists. American forward Dustin Sleva (203-95, college: Shippensburg) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Seychellois center Abdel Kader Sylla (204-90) replied with 15 points and Jerome Sanchez (197-90) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Nantes. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Paris moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Quimper. Nantes at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Paris' next round opponent will be league's leader Provence Basket in Fos-sur-Mer and it may be quite challenging game. Nantes will play on the road against Aix-Maurienne (#15) in Aix-les-Bains and hope to win that game.
