The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Provence Basket (18-9) on the court of eighteenth ranked Saint Chamond on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Saint Chamond 79-73. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Provence Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado) scored 19 points to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Jerome Cazenobe (204-89) chipped in 5 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Saint Chamond's coach Alain Thinet used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard Jamar Diggs (190-88, college: Wofford, agency: Octagon Europe) with 14 points and 8 assists and American-Azerbaijani forward Niklas Caner-Medley (203-83, college: Maryland, agency: BeoBasket) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Saint Chamond (6-17) moved-up to seventeenth place. Provence Basket at the other side still keeps top position with nine games lost. Saint Chamond will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Provence Basket will play on the road against Paris and is hoping to win this game.
