Rytas cruised past Siauliai in the opener. The game without a history. Rytas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Estonian forward Kristjan Kitsing (205-90) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Andrew Goudelock (192-88, college: Charleston, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Rytas players scored in double figures. Rytas' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Belgian power forward Andy Van Vliet (213-95, college: William & Mary) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Arminas Urbutis (206-86, college: Hofstra, agency: Octagon Europe) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Siauliai.
