Semi-Finals Game 5: Lavrio - Promitheas 81-74

Lavrio edged Promitheas to secure the A1 Finals berth. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-12. But Promitheas won second period 24-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Lavrio won last quarter 22-16. 24 personal fouls committed by Promitheas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Petros Geromichalos (203-94) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: EKU) chipped in 21 points. Five Lavrio players scored in double figures. American guard Jerian Grant (196-92, college: Notre Dame, agency: Wasserman) responded with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and the former international forward Dimitris Agravanis (208-94, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Promitheas' coach Makis Giatras rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
