Finals Game 1: Promitheas - AEK 77-73

Promitheas toppled AEK in the consolation final round. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But AEK won third quarter 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Promitheas dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to AEK's 28 and made 23-of-25 free shots (92.0 percent) during the game. American guard Jerian Grant (196-92, college: Notre Dame, agency: Wasserman) stepped up and scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners and the former international forward Dimitris Agravanis (208-94, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side center Costis Gontikas (206-94, college: New York U.) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Nikolaos Zisis (197-83, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 12 points and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Four AEK players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
