Regular Season Round 35: Denain - Aix-Maurienne 75-69
Date: June 4, 2021
No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Denain Voltaire (18-13) beat at home 15th ranked Aix-Maurienne (9-22) 75-69. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was American point guard Stephen Brown (180-96, college: Bucknell) who scored 18 points and 9 assists. Norwegian forward Chris-Ebou Ndow (201-93, college: NW Missouri St., agency: Duran International) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Denain Voltaire players scored in double figures. American forward Antonio Ballard (194-88, college: Miami, OH) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and Finnish Henri Kantonen (198-97, agency: Blacktop Management) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Denain Voltaire. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Quimper. Aix-Maurienne lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 22 games lost. Denain Voltaire's next round opponent will be Souffelweyersheim (#13) at home and are hoping to win another game. Aix-Maurienne will play against Lille Metropole and hope to win that game.
