Finals Game 5: Zadar - Split 84-57

Zadar are crowned Premijer Liga champions. They edged Split in the decisive fifth game of the championship series to lift the first League trophy since 2008. The game was mostly controlled by Zadar. Split managed to win fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Split's 20. They outrebounded Split 46-28 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Chinanu Onuaku (208-96, college: Louisville) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Zadar players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Roko-Leni Ukic (196-84) responded with 18 points and the former international Luka Babic (201-91, agency: BeoBasket) scored 5 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
