Lavrio survived an overtime thriller to tame Panathinaikos to bounce back in the Finals. Panathinaikos was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 7-point lead after three quarters before a 25-18 charge of Lavrio, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 13-8. Lavrio forced 19 Panathinaikos turnovers. Strangely Panathinaikos outrebounded Lavrio 46-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. American guard Tyson Carter (193-98, college: MSU, agency: David Lee Services) scored 20 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Vasileios Mouratos (193-97) chipped in 19 points and 5 steals during the contest. The former international forward Konstantinos Mitoglou (210-96, college: Wake Forest, agency: Wasserman) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and Croatian swingman Mario Hezonja (202-95) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
