Elitzur Ashkelon upset Elitzur Netanya on the road to take 2-0 lead. Ironi Ashkelon looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Ironi Ashkelon made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American forward Aaron Epps (208-96, college: LSU) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Ironi Ashkelon's coach Hanan Hirshovitch used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Senegalese forward Abdoulaye Gueye (206-94, college: Georgia Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Itay Moskovich (192-0) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
