Regular Season Round 37: Quimper - Poitiers 101-86

There was no surprise when 18th ranked Poitiers (8-26) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Quimper UJAP (20-13) 101-86 on Friday. Quimper UJAP outrebounded Poitiers 34-19 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. DR Congolese forward Junior Etou (201-94, college: Tulsa) fired 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American point guard Ken Brown (180-89, college: Philander Smith, agency: BIG) chipped in 11 points and 8 assists. American guard Raymond Cowels III (191-90, college: Santa Clara) produced 18 points and naturalized British guard Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye (193-96, college: Bradley) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Quimper UJAP and five Poitiers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Quimper UJAP have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Denain. Loser Poitiers stay dead last with 26 lost games.
