Second Stage Round 6: Marousi - Olympiacos B 94-96

Important game to mention about took place in Athens. First ranked Olympiacos B (5-1) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging second-best Marousi (3-3) 96-94 on Saturday evening. Marousi was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for point guard Apollonas Tsochlas (189-83) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Alexandros Nikolaidis (190-2) contributed with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Yannis Gagaloudis (192-78) replied with 37 points (!!!) and 6 assists and center Emmanouil Chatzidakis (205-0) added 24 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) in the effort for Marousi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Olympiacos B have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-1 record. Newly promoted Marousi dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Karditsas. Olympiacos B will play against league's second-placed Apollon P. in Patra in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Marousi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Athens to the arena Pagrati.
