Quarter-Finals Round 1: Strasbourg - Levallois 79-68

Strasbourg held off Levallois in the quarterfinal clash. SIG Strasbourg outrebounded Levallois 37-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for American-Ugandan swingman Ishmail Wainright (196-94, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Nigerian-American Ike Joseph Udanoh (202-89, college: WSU) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. SIG Strasbourg's coach Lassi Tuovi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. International point guard David Michineau (191-94) answered with 10 points and 6 assists and Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (208-91) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Levallois. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
