Regular Season Round 1: Hamar - Selfoss 80-93

Quite upsetting was Hamar's home defeat in a game versus Selfoss 93-80. The game was mostly controlled by Selfoss. Hamar managed to win third quarter 32-28. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Selfoss forced 20 Hamar turnovers. American point guard Trevon Evans (183-95, college: Sioux Falls) fired 27 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American-Dutch Gerald Robinson (202-84, college: UT Martin) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds. Five Selfoss players scored in double figures. Forward Palmi Jonsson (196-93) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and Croatian guard Kristijan Vladovic (185-99) added 20 points, 11 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Hamar's coach Rui Costa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Selfoss will meet at home Hottur in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hamar will play against Alftanes and hope to win that game.
