The most interesting game of round 2 was a home defeat of Mykolaiv to Kyiv Basket 87-80. The guests trailed by 20 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 7 points. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kyiv Basket made 7 blocks. American point guard Avery Woodson (188-93, college: Butler) scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international center Dmytro Skapintsev (216-98) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Kyiv Basket is looking forward to face Krivbas in Kryvyi Rih in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Mykolaiv will play at home against Ternopil-TNEU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
