There was a minor upset when higher ranked Zaragoza (2-2) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Valencia (2-2) 76-70 on Saturday. Montenegrin center Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: BeoBasket) fired 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. North Macedonian point guard Nenad Dimitrijevic (190-98, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Nigerian-American Stan Okoye (198-91, college: VMI) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds and American Matt Mobley (193-94, college: St.Bonaventure) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Zaragoza players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Valencia moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 9 other teams including defeated Zaragoza. Valencia will meet at home league's second-placed Real Madrid in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Zaragoza will play against Tenerife and hope to secure a win.
