But Dorsten was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Herten 83-76 on Saturday night. Hertener Loewen forced 22 Dorsten turnovers. Strangely Dorsten outrebounded Hertener Loewen 48-35 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Adam Pickett (185-94, college: Winthrop) who scored 42 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Robin Pflueger (195-93) chipped in 9 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Tyler Brevard (189-98, college: Lander) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian forward Uros Cica (201-0) added 10 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Hertener Loewen will meet at home Hagen-Haspe (#10) in the next round. Dorsten will play against Hagen BG and hopes to get finally their first victory.
