Bramsche used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Braunschweig 72-62 on Saturday night. Bramsche forced 24 SG Braunschweig turnovers. Strangely SG Braunschweig outrebounded Bramsche 41-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American center Cole Walker (206, college: Ferris St., agency: Hamriding Sports Management) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Moritz Dresing (194-1) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Sananda Fru (208-3) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Damjan Milutinovic (183-0) added 11 points respectively. SG Braunschweig's coach gave the chance to play for twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bramsche will meet Wolfenbuettel (#10) on the road in the next round. SG Braunschweig will play against Berlin BG 2000 (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
