The game had a very big importance for fifth-ranked Dnipro as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Dnipro defeated bottom-ranked Zaporizhye at home 96-90. Dnipro looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard DJ Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 4 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists. The other American import swingman Rashad Vaughn (198-96, college: UNLV) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Dnipro's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian guard Yasiin Joseph (186, college: Carleton) replied with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and American guard Daeshon Francis (193-96, college: UTPB) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Zaporizhye. Four Dnipro and five Zaporizhye players scored in double figures. Dnipro have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Prometey. Zaporizhye at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Zaporizhye will play next round against Cherkasy trying to get back on the winning streak. Dnipro will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Kyiv Basket on the road.
