Rather expected game when 7th ranked Cherkasy (1-3) was smashed by top-ranked Prometey (3-0) in Kamianske 100-54 on Friday. The game without a history. Prometey led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Prometey outrebounded Cherkasy 43-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Cherkasy's players. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by forward DJ Kennedy (198-89, college: St.John's) who scored that evening 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Sean Evans (203-88, college: St.John's) supported him with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Five Prometey players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 4 assists by Rodney Purvis (193-94, college: UConn) did not help to save the game for Cherkasy. Guard Isaac Hamilton (196-94, college: UCLA) added 14 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prometey have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Dnipro. Cherkasy lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Prometey will meet at home Budivelnyk (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Cherkasy will play against Zaporizhye (#12) in Zaporozhye and hope to win that game.
