Everything could happen in Valencia at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Puerto Sagunto and bottom-ranked Godella had identical 0-1 record. But Godella was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Gilet 69-66 on Saturday night. Puerto Sagunto forced 25 Godella turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Roberto Corona (186-91) who helped to win the game recording 19 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and guard Carlos Hohnrath (189-95) who added 13 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Daniel Perez (187-1) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Ivan Alexandrov (-3) scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Puerto Sagunto (1-1) left bottom position moving up to third place in Group E-A, which they share with Tabernes and Castello 2. Godella at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Esportiu. Puerto Sagunto will meet league's second-placed Torrent on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Godella will play against Tabernes (#3) in Tabernes Blanques and hopes to get finally their first victory.
