Date: October 9, 2021
There was a change at the Regionalliga leadership position after last games. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Giessen Pointers. It was a key game for the top position in South West. Stuttgart forced 20 Giessen Pointers turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Greek guard Vassilis Lampropoulos (196-90) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Edward Hall who added 19 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Christopher Miller (192-93, college: Salem) responded with 14 points and Benjamin Lischka (204-89) scored 6 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stuttgart have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of South West leader, which they share with Reutlingen. Giessen Pointers at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. They were replaced at the leadership position by Ansbach. Giessen Pointers will play next round against Bensheim trying to make it back to the top of the standings.
