There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Mataro (0-2) was defeated at home by top-ranked Sol Girones (2-0) 72-63 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Xavier Torrent (176-90) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 assists and center Xavier Montalat (202-92) who added 8 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Jaume Sole (195-91) responded with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Ignasi Arino (180-86) scored 15 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Sol Girones keeps a position of Group C-3 leader, which they share with 3 other teams.
