Undefeated Science City Jena (3-1) recorded its first loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by fifteenth ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (1-3) 89-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Science City Jena. Science City Jena was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ethan Alvano (185, college: CSUSM) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Kevin Yebo (207-96) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Alvano is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Eisbaeren Bremerhaven players scored in double figures. At the losing side Stephan Haukohl (203-93) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Julius Wolf (203-93) scored 21 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Kirchheim and Nuernberg. Science City Jena at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Paderborn and Bayer Giants.
