Regular Season Round 4: Les Sables - Poitiers 63-62

There was a minor upset in Les Sables-D'Ollone where one of their biggest challengers Poitiers (2-2) was edged by eighth ranked Les Sables (2-2) 63-62 on Tuesday. Les Sables forced 21 Poitiers turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian guard Kevin Cham (185-98) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and power forward Gregory Lessort (198-85) who added 12 points during the contest. At the losing side Croatian Lovro Mazalin (204-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Les Sables moved-up to fourth place in Group A, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Poitiers. Les Sables will meet Lorient (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Poitiers will play against Pontoise (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
