Regular Season Round 4: Tarbes-Lourdes - Toulouse 67-54

There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Toulouse (2-2) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (2-2) 67-54 on Tuesday. Lourdes-Tarbes made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Lourdes-Tarbes outrebounded Toulouse 40-28 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Gaylor Lobela-Nkuna (206-95) who helped to win the game recording 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Mozambican-American guard Kendal Manuel (194-97, college: Montana, agency: Inception Sports) who added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Adrien Thimon (188-94) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Algerian point guard Faycal Sahraoui (190-79) scored 9 points and 4 assists. Toulouse's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Lourdes-Tarbes moved-up to fourth place in Group A, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Toulouse. Lourdes-Tarbes will meet league's leader Etoile Angers on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Toulouse will play against Vendee Challans and hope to secure a win.
