Regular Season Round 6: Kyiv Basket - Prometey 63-90

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kyiv. Top-ranked Prometey faced 3rd ranked Kyiv Basket. Guests from Kamianske (5-0) smashed host Kyiv Basket (4-2) 90-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kyiv Basket. The game without a history. Prometey led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Kyiv Basket's players. American guard DAngelo Harrison (193-93, college: St.John's) scored 28 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Denys Lukashov (197-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four Prometey players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Ilya Tyrtyshnik (190-98, college: St.Cloud St., agency: BIG) with 13 points and American guard Bernard Thompson (191-93, college: FGCU) scored 12 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Prometey have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 5-0 record. Loser Kyiv Basket keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Budivelnyk and Khimik. Prometey will meet bottom-ranked Ternopil-TNEU (#12) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Kyiv Basket will play against Zaporizhye (#9) and hope to secure a win.
