Another upset was a game between Chalon/Saor and Saint Chamond , which took place in Saint Chamond. Chalon/Saor was outleveled in a road game by Saint Chamond 93-69 on Friday. Saint Chamond shot 60.3 percent from the field. Saint Chamond outrebounded Chalon/Saor 39-21 including a 28-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Serbian-Portuguese center Sasa Borovnjak (206-89, college: Penn St., agency: 011 Sports) nailed 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and center Mathieu Boyer (208-95) accounted for 13 points and 12 rebounds. Five Saint Chamond players scored in double figures. Kevin Harley (196-94) came up with 17 points and the former international guard Antoine Eito (188-88) added 10 points and 6 assists respectively for Chalon/Saor in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Saint Chamond will meet Saint-Quentin on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Chalon/Saor will play against SPO Rouen and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Betclic ELITE ProA just one year after relegation.
