Regular Season Round 5: Novaschool - Oh!Tels ULB 98-88

Rather predictable result when leader Novaschool (3-0) won against 6th ranked Oh!Tels ULB (1-2) in Malaga 98-88 on Saturday. Novaschool shot 62.1 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Oscar Diaz (-2) nailed 32 points for the winning side and point guard Andres Aguado (183-96, college: ACU) accounted for 22 points and 6 assists. Center Candido Matoso (207-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and forward David Espadina (201-93) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for Oh!Tels ULB in the defeat. Four Novaschool and five Oh!Tels ULB players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Novaschool. They keep a position of Group D-A leader, which they share with Almeria. Loser Oh!Tels ULB dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. They share the position with Benahavis and El Pinar. Novaschool will meet Penarroya (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Oh!Tels ULB will play against Estepona (#3) and hope to win that game.
