There was a minor upset when higher ranked Unicaja (3-3) lost on the road to twelfth ranked Manresa (3-3) 85-74 on Saturday. Manresa made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Belgian center Ismael Bako (208-95) notched 14 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Daniel Perez (184-90) supported him with 15 points and 5 assists. Even 17 points and 6 assists by American point guard Norris Cole (188-88, college: CSU) did not help to save the game for Unicaja. Nigerian center Micheal Eric (210-88, college: Temple) added 12 points and 8 rebounds. Five Manresa and four Unicaja players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Manresa moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Unicaja. Manresa will meet Fuenlabrada (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Unicaja will play against the league's leader Barca (#1) and hope to secure a win.
