Regular Season Round 2: Marousi - Eleftheroupoli 88-73

Marousi used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Kavalas 88-73 on Saturday night. Marousi shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Orfeas Stasinos (183-88) who scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Power forward Giorgos Arnokouros (202-0) chipped in 19 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Dionysis Skoulidas (200-97) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Marousi will meet Enosi Kavalas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Eleftheroupoli will play against Tritonas S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
