Regular Season Round 6: Baskonia - Tenerife 65-71

Round 6 most important game was a victory of Tenerife over 5th ranked Baskonia 71-65 on Sunday night. It was a good game for Uruguayan point guard Bruno Fitipaldo (183-91) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 7 assists. Canadian power forward Kyle Wiltjer (206-92, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Tenerife's coach Jesus Vidorreta used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lithuanian swingman Rokas Giedraitis (200-92) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Lithuanian Tadas Sedekerskis (206-98) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Baskonia. Tenerife (4-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with Murcia and Gran Canaria. Baskonia at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with 6 other teams. Tenerife is looking forward to face Joventut (#6) in Badalona in the next round. Baskonia will play on the road against Murcia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
