They outrebounded Alginet 50-32 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Jermaine Marrow (183-97, college: Hampton) scored 32 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and French center Thomas Smallwood (213-95, college: Chattanooga) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Guard Adrian Galvez (187-87) responded with 22 points and center Bernat Vanaclocha (212-98, college: Polk State CC) scored 15 points and 4 blocks. Alginet's coach Jose Canales rotated eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Menorca will meet Cartagena on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Alginet will play against Mollet and hope to win that game.
