Regular Season Round 6: Nymburk - Sokol Prazsky 101-70

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Sokol Prazsky (4-2) against fourth ranked Nymburk (4-2) on Sunday night. Visiting Sokol Prazsky was crushed by Nymburk in Nymburk 101-70. It was a key game for the second position in League. Nymburk dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Sokol Prazsky's 34. They outrebounded Sokol Prazsky 63-39 including a 43-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nymburk players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Sokol Prazsky was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Slovakian forward David Novak (195-3) notched a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and point guard Daniel Kotil (165-3) supported him with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Even 12 points and 8 rebounds by guard Adam Ruzicka (194) did not help to save the game for Sokol Prazsky. Forward Petr Sovicek (200) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nymburk moved-up to second place in League. Nymburk will play against Jizni Supi (#8) in Praha in the next round where they are favorite. Sokol Prazsky will play at home against Lokomotiva (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
