The game in Dnipro was also quite interesting. Second ranked Khimik (6-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Dnipro (4-4). Khimik managed to secure a 4-point victory 88-84 on Sunday. Dnipro was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Strangely Dnipro outrebounded Khimik 36-23 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 65.0 percentage. Khimik looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Christian Jones (201-93, college: UNLV, agency: BeoBasket) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Dominic Morris (202-90, college: Boston U.) accounted for 22 points for the winning side. American point guard DJ Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio, agency: BIG) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists and international center Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-87, agency: BeoBasket) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Dnipro in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Khimik maintains second place with 6-3 record having just one point less than leader Prometey, which they share with Budivelnyk and K.Sokoly. Dnipro lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Khimik will meet at home Zaporizhye (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dnipro will play against Mykolaiv and hope to secure a win.
