The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Rapid's (1-3) road loss to ninth ranked Steaua B. (2-1) 88-91 on Monday. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard KJ Jackson (188-98, college: UMBC, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and center Terrell Carter II (208-96, college: Fresno St., agency: Haylett Sports) who added 16 points and 17 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Eric Copes (203-93, college: Z*Orangeville A's, agency: Mansfield and Associates) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and guard Mikey Hope (186-91, college: ASU) scored 23 points. Four Steaua B. and five Rapid players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Steaua B. moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Timisoara. Rapid lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with three games lost. They share it with Dinamo B. and Focsani. Steaua B. will meet Miercurea Ciuc (#14) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Rapid will play against Craiova (#3) and hope to win that game.
