H.Afula used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Haifa 79-67 on Tuesday night. H.Afula made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Tomer Porat (201-99) notched 29 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Richaud Pack (192-92, college: Maryland) supported him with 23 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by American-Dominican forward Angel Nunez (203-91, college: S.Florida) did not help to save the game for M.Haifa. American forward Raphiael Putney (207-90, college: UMass) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Four M.Haifa players scored in double figures. M.Haifa's coach Avi Sukar rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. H.Afula will meet Hapoel H/M in the next round and are hoping to win another game. M.Haifa will play against H.Ramat Gan and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Winner League just one year after relegation.
