Rather predictable result when third ranked Alcala (5-1) defeated at home 6th ranked La Matanza (3-3) 84-80 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was power forward Alvaro Biersack (198-95) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Oscar Mendez (182-0) chipped in 21 points. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Imobach Gonzalez (193-93) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and Adrian Tato (190-0) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Alcala have an impressive five-game winning streak.
