Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Andorra (2-5) was edged at home by seventh ranked Valencia (4-3) 76-75 on Saturday. Icelandic guard Martin Hermannsson (190-94, college: LIU Brooklyn) fired 20 points and 6 assists for the winners. Cuban Jasiel Rivero (206-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Five Valencia players scored in double figures. American-Senegalese guard Clevin Hannah (179-87, college: Wichita St., agency: BeoBasket) produced 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists and Irish-Canadian Conor Morgan (206-94, college: UBC, agency: BeoBasket) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Valencia moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Joventut and Tenerife. Loser Andorra dropped to the fifteenth position with five games lost. They share it with Bilbao and Fuenlabrada. Valencia will meet at home bottom-ranked Real Betis (#18) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Andorra will play against Unicaja and hope to secure a win.
