Hapoel Jerusalem (2-1) recorded a loss on the court of Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Visitors were rolled over by Maccabi Tel-Aviv 104-80. They made 24-of-29 charity shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Maccabi Tel-Aviv shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American-Turkish guard Scottie Wilbekin (188-93, college: Florida, agency: BeoBasket) accounted for 18 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Maccabi Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. Belgian-Nigerian guard Retin Obasohan (191-93, college: Alabama) came up with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Kaiser Gates (203-96, college: Xavier) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Hapoel Jerusalem in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Maccabi Tel-Aviv will play against Bnei Hasharon in Hod Hasharon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hapoel Jerusalem will play at home against Hapoel Holon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
