Regular Season Round 6: Gandia - Picken Claret 92-75

Everything went according to plan when top-ranked Gandia (4-0) beat at home 3rd ranked Picken Claret (2-2) 92-75 on Saturday. They outrebounded Picken Claret 36-25 including 23 on the defensive glass. Gandia looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Unai Zamora (193-1) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Joan Hernandez (184-97) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Gandia players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Inigo De La Iglesia (190-95) who recorded 18 points and Francisco Climent (-2) added 10 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gandia have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group E-B with 4-0 record. Loser Picken Claret dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Benidorm. Gandia will meet Benidorm (#5) on the road in the next round. Picken Claret will play against Alginet B and hope to secure a win.
